“God Wastes Nothing” Twenty Years After

September 15, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

On the evening of September 15, 1999, just before 7:00 pm, a crazed gunman entered Wedgwood Baptist Church and opened fire, killing seven and wounding seven. From the time he entered the building, the gunman fired over 100 rounds from two different handguns and exploded a homemade pipe bomb in the Worship Center where the youth activity was being held. The gunman then sat down in the back of the Worship Center and ended his own life. … Read More

I am so glad that you are planning to remembering God’s faithfulness, comfort, and peace on the anniversary of the shooting. It impacted my life because I was a friend of Stephanie and Stan Jones. Thank you for giving those of us from far and near a chance to make plans to be present.

      Thank you Angela,
I hope you will be able to attend. I know it is strange to use the word celebration, but it truly will be a praise and honor to the Lord for His incredible faithfulness over these twenty years. It is not short of truly amazing when You see His hand.

I was so glad to read the article in Fox 4 news about this mornings 20 year anniversary. 20 years I may not have had if I had not obeyed the Spirit that night and gone to GA’s instead of sitting in the back of the sanctuary. Shawn Brown was my Sunday School teacher and left a lifelong impression on me. Acts 4:20 has become my life verse as a result of that night. I wish I could be there today to worship with everyone in person (I live in SC now). Lifting my brothers and sisters in prayer today. Blessings be to you all
