WedgKids Weekend Update

Hey Parents and Leaders,

This coming week with WedgKids we are having an interesting Bible study. We are learning about how “God Restores.”
The weird thing is that the lesson is summarizing Jonah to Nehemiah without a specific passage. I just wanted to let you know about this interesting twist in case you usually use the passage to talk to your child about the Bible passage before coming to church on a Sunday. I am still including our Weekly Family Devotional to give you a few ideas to discuss with your child.

The point of the Weekly Family Devotion is for you as the parent to have the opportunity to be the first one to talk to your child about the Biblical topic.

This is the link for the Weekly Family Devotion

I need at least one more family to serve on Saturday at Upward Concessions. The time is 9:00 am to 10:30 am. We are doing really well this year at Upward Concessions. It is going to benefit our Children’s Ministry going to CentriKid Camp this summer. Here is the link to signup, if you would be willing.

CentriKid Camp is scheduled for July 12 – 16 at Trinity Pines Camp and Conference Center. CentriKid Camp is for completed 3rd grade through completed 6th grade. I am having a meeting on March 7th at 4:30 p.m. on Zoom. If you would like to come in person, I will be in The Mezz at the same time on the same day. Upward Concessions help cover the cost of campers so volunteering to sell the Upward Concessions is really helpful for CentriKid Camp.

I hope you all stay warm and safe. We will be selling Hot Chocolate with marshmallows this weekend at Upward Concessions!

Discussion Questions based on Pastor Dale’s Message:

Ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart and see if there is a “log” in your eye that He may need to deal with.
Is there an area of your life in which God is calling you to do something but you are making excuses or stalling as a means for not obeying?
Sometimes we may feel like God is not present but as we reflect back we see evidence of His presence. Think back on a difficult time in which you now realize God was with you.
