It’s the weekend! I hope it is a good one for you and your family!
This event for 3rd – 6th graders has been cancelled for the summer of 2020. This is sad news but I felt like it was coming. Parents can get their deposit back to them or they can leave it for summer 2021. Let me know if you haven’t.
Here is a link to the CentriKid Camp making the explanation for this summer closure.
Sports & Fine Arts Camp 2020
There will be fun activities for preschoolers & K-6th graders. There will be 4 days of a Chef’s Challenges. The Chef’s Challenges recipes will each make enough for 4 people. We will send the shopping list out on June 3rd to those that have registered. There will be 2 lunch options and 2 dessert options. There are 4 days of Physical Challenges. These will require little equipment and no funds. Many of you are not registered at this point, but we would love for you to register today. Here is the link to register.
This is from Matthew 7:21 – 23. It is called “I Never Knew You.” We believe this is a difficult passage to teach children in the preschool and younger elementary grades. For older grades or if your child is ready to discuss, here are a few discussion questions from Pastor Dale:
- In light of Matthew 7:21 – 23 how do you define saving faith?
- Have you ever wrestled with doubts about your salvation? How did you respond to or deal with these doubts
- What are some ways in which you can live in light of eternity? Or, how can you live with an eternal perspective?
For preschoolers, Mrs. Julie has created this At-Home lesson and resource.
This week in our weekly Zoom call, the 1st-3rd graders agreed to memorize Psalm 100:2.
The 4th-6th graders agreed to memorize Psalm 119:37.
Maybe y’all could work on this as a family. I hope we learn some things during this Covid-19 time-frame that won’t change once we return to the new normal. One of them, I hope, will be family devotionals, prayer times, & home worship.
How are your family worship times going?
