We have been doing a lot of research and praying through what is best for our website. Those of you who go to our website often will see some changes along the way in the next few months. One of those changes is that I will not be writing my blog any longer. In fact this is the last one I will write for our website. There are only a few of you that read this each week, and when I say a few, unfortunately, it is very few. I hope to be able to communicate with you some other way.

Enough of that!!!

This week I want to talk about the Christian life. We hear so many things about what is important to do, to believe, to follow, to act like as a Christian. We can burn ourselves out by trying to be the “good” Christian. We can throw Scripture at people and tell them that judgment is not their right, but only God’s. Again, we can decide what is right for everyone and how a Christian is supposed to be.

When it is all said and done, there is only one thing that matters…is Jesus truly the focus of our life? If He is, then that focus will align us into everything else. You have read this verse many times through the years on my blogs…Colossians 3:4. The first few words are so important. It says “When Christ, who is my life….” Does that describe you and me? Do those words reign true in our lives? It doesn’t say, Christ, who is part my life, or even Christ my Alpha (beginning) and Omega (end). Are we consumed with Him? Not things about Him, or even things we do “for” Him or in His name. Are we consumed with Jesus Himself?

I simply ask this question to both you and me. Is Jesus our life? Is He truly the air we breathe, or is it just a 90’s praise song? Think about it.

Okay, I am going to end there.

Love you,
