October 15 2018
CELEBRATION DAY!!!! Today is October 15. For those that work and get paid two times a month, this is probably pay day. I have to admit that is a celebration in and of itself…lol. But that is not what I am talking about when I talk about Celebration Day! This Sunday, we are excited to see the commitment of our people toward the two-year AWAKEN generosity initiative. I have a specific number that I am praying toward. I believe that Wedgwood, as Dale has been talking about, is ready for more. I have watched for the past several years, as we have gone through major hardships on several fronts. The storm of life hit Wedgwood, and yet!!!!! God is faithful. I believe Scripture says “He is faithful to finish what He started”. I can hardly wait to be blown away with the heart of our people. It is going to be incredible.
What a joy it is to watch God work in the lives of His people!
We are going to go back many years to a song that we sang a whole lot to begin the worship time. “Come Thou Fount, Come Thou King”. We will sing the Hillsong songs “With Us” and “Who You Say I Am”. We will continue with a song that we have come to truly worship with “God Be Praised/Our God Reigns”. The choir is going to sing a song for offertory by Travis Cottrell titled “Kings and Kingdoms”. We will worship together at the response time with “Great Are You Lord.”
Before I close, I want to emphasize one thing that I am very excited about that is coming up soon… our Night of Praise (The Goodness of God). I am asking two things of the ones that read this blog. I am asking that you will make it a priority, whether you normally come back on Sunday nights or not, to come to this time of worship. It will be one hour long….6 p.m.-7 p.m. Please, literally I am begging you to make this a priority on November 11. Secondly, I am asking to bring your Missional Community. I am asking that you will talk about it over and over again until they truly hear the importance of them being here this Sunday night November 11.
I hope to see you this weekend. Have a great week.
