Fees & Payments

Fees for therapy in this office are based on a sliding scale depending on your income and circumstances. Typically fees range between $25.00 and $75.00 per 50-minute session. Regrettably, we are unable to see clients for less than $25.00 per session. However, please talk with your therapist to see if other arrangements may be made. This includes individual, marital, or family therapy, regardless of the family’s size. We provide some testing services, and fees for these services vary according to the instrument administered.

Time Schedule for Therapy
One hour of counseling is divided into 45-50 minutes of therapy, and 10-15 minutes of case review and recording of the session results by the therapist. Ninety-minute sessions and group sessions of that length are divided into 75-80 minutes of therapy followed by 10-15 minutes of case review and recording of session results.

Telephone Consultation
We ask that, as much as possible, you call only Monday through Thursday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. If you should have a life threatening emergency outside these hours, please call 911 and then your therapist or a crisis hot-line number given by them. It is acceptable to call and leave messages on the answering machine anytime. When we are on vacation or out of town, we will arrange for coverage of caseloads by other therapists. All calls made outside of working hours will be charged by the half-hour on a pro-rated basis.

Payment Arrangements
Payment for services is due and expected at the time the services are rendered. We accept and file insurance claims on a limited basis. Please check with your therapist for their qualifications and conditions. You may file on your own insurance policy, but there is no guarantee that any insurance company or agency will cover these services. LPC and LPMT interns are not covered under any insurance plans and may not be compensated directly. Therefore, the payment method for all therapists are checks made payable to WBC or cash receipted as such.
