Prayer Ministry

PRAYER! The Most Significant Ministry at Wedgwood

Do you have a prayer need? Whether you are a member of Wedgwood Baptist or just visiting on the Internet, we would like to pray with you or for you. Please let us pray for your needs and concerns by sending us your prayer request. With your permission, we will share your request with the church in our weekly prayer newsletter, "Standing in the Gap." You can remain anonymous and are under no obligation to visit. Very simply, we believe that God hears and answers prayer. He doesn't always answer our prayers when or how we may expect Him to, but as we discover His answers, we grow in our understanding and love of God.

Watchman Prayer Ministry

A ministry of "intercession," or prayer on behalf of another, where church members spend one hour each week either at home or in the church's prayer room. The needs of the church family, its friends, national and world-wide concerns, are the focus of the prayer volunteers as they intercede in prayer.

Prayer Watch

At 6:00 am on Thursdays (pastor's study) and Sundays (worship center), participants pray for worship, evangelism, and needs of the Body at Wedgwood and abroad.

Aaron's Arms

Every Sunday morning there are two intercessors in the prayer room during each hour, praying for the worship services, the classes, the pastor, worship leaders, teachers, and all our other Sunday morning needs. In addition, the intercessors are praying for pressing needs of those who are attending worship and Bible Fellowship, Mid-Week Prayer and Bible Study.

On Wednesday nights at 6:30 in room 130B, the church gathers to share in Bible study and in corporate prayer. Participants pray together both as a large group and often in small groups of three or four.

Praying for Prodigals

Is someone you love making choices that break your heart? Praying for Prodigals is a prayer/support group for you. This group meets each Monday night at 7:00 p.m. in the Prayer Room.
